Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 May 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Augur (“we”, “our”) collects, uses and shares information when you use augur.news and our products. We aim to collect only what we need to deliver the service.
What we collect
- Account data — email, name, company, role and password hash, supplied when you sign up.
- Product data — the watch zones, alert channels and settings you configure inside your workspace.
- Operational logs — sign-in timestamps, IP addresses, browser type and pages visited, retained for security and abuse prevention for up to 90 days.
- Billing data — managed by Stripe. We store only the Stripe customer/subscription IDs, plan and renewal date. We never see or store full card numbers.
How we use it
- To run and improve the Augur service.
- To deliver alerts to the channels (email, Slack, Telegram, WhatsApp, webhooks) you have configured.
- To send transactional emails (verify, reset, receipts).
- To monitor for fraud, abuse and security incidents on our platform.
- With your explicit opt-in, to send occasional product updates and intelligence briefings.
What we never do
- Sell your data to anyone.
- Read your alert content for marketing purposes.
- Share your watch-zone configuration with other customers or third parties.
Sub-processors
We use a small set of third-party processors to deliver the service: Supabase (auth + database), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (frontend hosting), Hetzner (backend infrastructure) and the public OSINT feeds we ingest. A full list is available on request.
Your rights
You can request export, correction or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@augur.news. UK and EU residents may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk).
