Terms of Service

By creating an Augur account or using augur.news you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. The service
Augur is an event-intelligence platform that aggregates public OSINT feeds, lets you define geofenced watch zones, and delivers alerts and forecasts. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and any API keys confidential. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
- You may not share a single account across more than one individual; use a Team plan for multi-seat usage.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Augur to:
- Break the law or facilitate illegal activity.
- Target individuals for harassment, doxxing or unlawful surveillance.
- Resell raw feed data without an enterprise agreement that permits it.
- Attempt to exceed plan limits through circumvention or to attack our infrastructure.
4. Billing
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe in US dollars. Local taxes (VAT, KDV) are added where applicable.
- Upgrades take effect immediately, prorated. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
- Refunds are not offered for partial months; you may cancel any time to stop further renewals.
- If a payment fails we may suspend access until the balance is cleared.
5. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the data you submit (watch zones, alert configuration). Augur retains ownership of the platform, the aggregated event database structure, and the brand. You may not copy, mirror or scrape the dashboard or its outputs other than for your own internal use.
6. Liability
Augur is an intelligence aid, not a guarantee. You should never base life-safety, navigation or trading decisions on Augur output alone. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for us or other users. You may close your account at any time from the Settings page.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance by email or in-app notice.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales unless a mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
